Is Corbin trying to save people's legs for the playoffs? Or is he trying some revolutionary tactic of playing 10 guys almost equally? Or is KOC telling him to do that so as they can evaluate who to keep and who to trade? I'm not being facetious. I'm genuinely curious. At this point in the season, we're the only team without a clear first unit (minutes wise).

At some point this season, Corbin is going to have to make Hayward a key cog who plays 30-35 minutes (minimum) per game. Millsap is the only guy on the roster who deserves that as well at this point. If you look up and down this roster, Hayward is the ONLY player for the future on the wing that gets PT. Burks could be... I'd imagine if we continue to free fall over the next month or two we'll be seeing a lot more of Burks. But for now, Hayward needs to start learning how to play that many minutes.

Hayward's learning curve is pretty big because he's such an unselfish player. As he becomes more and more acclimated with NBA style of play (basically all 1 on 1, or 2-man game), he will start to figure out where he can get his buckets, when to score it/when to dish it, etc...

He came from the antithesis of NBA style of play at Butler and barely got his feet wet as a rookie last year. So this may as well be his rookie year. Hopefully all Jazz fans realize this and remain patient. If he has a cold shooting night here or there and goes 1-of-10 or 3-of-14, I'd be completely fine with it. I want him getting those shots.

Despite his mostly atrocious play since coming back from his injury - I like the Howard acquisition. But Corbin has been riding him too much, and I'm not sure why he doesn't post up more. If he comes in for Hayward and starts going nutso (good thing) then leave him in. But if he's playing poorly, average, or even pretty decent let Hayward come back in regardless. If he wants to keep Howard on the floor with Hayward, fine. But Howard shouldn't be taking minutes from Hayward.

I'm on the fence about Al Jefferson regarding his immediate future. We most definitely need a post presence that we can jam it into for a bucket when we need it - and he is one of a handful of guys in the league that can do that. However, when he's bad - he's really bad.

Of course I don't have him in our long term plans (see: Favors, Derrick and Kanter, Enes), but I could be convinced to have him around for another season or two after this.

Still love this squad until death and will be intently watching the rest of the season unfold.

Where does everyone else stand on these issues? Agree or disagree? Any issues that are more concerning to you? What are they?

Go Jazz!!

P.S. Franklin, I think if you copied and pasted this post and put it on Jazzfanz with the thread title, 'You can't silence chitownjazz', it would really really get on the nerves of those four or five posters. Plus I'd love to hear some responses because I feel like I'll only get a handful here.

Hayward sucks. The offense with him in it is atrocious. He can't drive and score so he needs to find open spots and play within the offense. I've said enough about his distributing ability-- driving and dishing to covered wings is not an NBA play. Gaining confidence in his shot is his biggest hope at this point.

I really don't see the point of trying to make the playoffs with this squad. The guard, 2 and 3 spots are desolate. It's a go nowhere, get no high pick nightmare. Jazz should try to win every game but make some moves now to make this harder and to save money up for when it will be needed to resign a core of studs.

Such is the life here. You can try driving a little traffic here if you'd like. It's tough.
